The Logistics Leaders Network was founded in 2010 by Peter Acton to provide a networking platform for senior and their emerging logistics leaders to understand, debate and share views on key strategic supply chain and logistics issues impacting on their business performance.

Peter Acton is a fully qualified traffic engineer and transport planner and for the last thirty years has been a leading commentator on logistics and supply chain issues in editor of three leading transport industry publications.  He has championed the importance of logistics as ‘business mission critical’ of the sector as secretary of the Transport Association, adviser to the DfT, Trustee and now Ambassador of Transaid.  Peter is passionate that Logistics makes a difference. The Logistics Leaders Network is a vehicle to help get that message across.

There are three key objectives:

  • To promote the pivotal role logistics plays in our society
  • To highlight the technology and innovation that drives business success
  • To promote logistics and supply chain as an attractive career option for the best young people

These objectives are being achieved by:

  • Showcasing the best pioneering and innovative brands in logistics through our annual publication
  • Influencing the standards and image of the UK logistics sector by encouraging best practice across modes and business sectors
  • Creating interactive events that have attracted over 3000 professionals to meet their peers, build professional relationships and share best practice
  • Supporting the career development of emerging logistics leaders by giving them valuable insights into what is happening in the fast-moving world that is supply chain and logistics
  • Equipping logistics professionals with the skills and understanding of the mission-critical role logistics plays across industry sectors

Help make a difference.
